Score For Final Avengers Season To Be Released

Howard Blake may be more well known today for his work as conductor on The Snowman, a 1982 animated film based on a book by Raymond Briggs and starring the voice talents of David Bowie, but Blake also scored the final season of The Avengers, when Tara King took Emma Peel’s place as the woman at John Steed’s side.

The scores from this final series were lost for years but now Silva Screen Records has found the masters and is releasing them on CD later in the year through their website. More details, such as track listing and price, will be released later this month.
