Earthsearch: A ten-Part Adventure Serial In Time and Space was an audio adventure that came out in 1981 and was written by James Follett and was broadcast on Radio Four a few times over the years as well as being released on cassette and CD.

But it makes a return to radio this month with the first episode broadcast on 13th June at 6PM on BBC Radio Four Extra with a second chance to listen on the 14th June at 12 AM. After that the episodes will continue till their conclusion on weekdays twice a day at 6PM and Midnight.

The series is described as follows:

The crew of a starship searching for a home come across yet another planetary system incapable of supporting life. After being prompted by the mysterious onboard computers, the “Angels”, they decide that they will return home, but a shock awaits them. Written by James Follett. Starring Sean Arnold, Amanda Murray, Gordon Reid, Sonia Fraser and Haydn Wood; directed by Glyn Dearman.
