Blake’s 7 Liberate’s Restal For Chronicles

Blake’s 7 will return with a bang in 2012 with new audio plays and books currently in the works form Big Finish. But now further details have been released about the first of the audio plays including the first of the three original Blake’s 7 cast members to take part in the enhanced audio books.

Micheal Keating will reprise his role as thief Vila Restal in the first audio play Solitary by author Nigel Fairs.

The audio will be part of the first volume of The Liberator Chronicles plays and will be available in a three CD box set and for direct download in February of next year.

With his memory hazy and awakening to find himself in a cell, Vila must piece together his past as well as contend with the mysterious Nyrron:

Why are his friends planning to kill him?
The enigmatic Nyrron holds the answers… but will he tell?
Nigel Fairs is an award-winning playwright who has also written many acclaimed audio scripts for Doctor Who, Jago and Litefoot, The Tomorrow People and Sapphire and Steel.
The Liberator Chronicles are being directed by Lisa Bowerman, script edited by Justin Richards and produced by David Richardson.

Following on the heels of The Liberator Chronicles audios is a range of  Blake’s 7 books also being made as part of a joint venture by Big Finish and B7  Enterprises and should be available by May 2012.
