Daniel Craig: “There’ll Be Someone After Me”

James Bond star Daniel Craig has revealed in (a somewhat uncomfortable interview performance) that he is happy playing the role of Ian Fleming’s secret agent.

He’s also well aware that like two of his predecessors, there will come a day when he will appear too old, at while point he expects to be replaced. Speaking to the BBC, he said:

“I know there’ll be someone after me, and hopefully someone after them – I’m just trying to keep [the series] going…I’ll keep going until they tell me to stop”.

Already looking noticeably older than in his previous appearance, we wonder how long this will be. Currently 44 he is just four years younger than Pierce Brosnan was for Die Another Day. There is every chance, therefore, that the Bond movie that follows Skyfall could be his last.

The interview was part of a wider feature, which also included the following footage.

What do you think? Is there life beyond Daniel Craig for James Bond? Will his departure lead to yet another reboot?
