Great Scott! We gotta go back… Back To The Future… The Musical!

No, this isn’t some YouTube spoof, this is it, the real deal… Back To The Future is coming to London in 2015 as a musical!

Now, before we all cry a great ‘Noooooooooo’ or ‘Whhhhhyyyyyy?!’ the interesting news is that Bob Zemeckis is reuniting with co-writer Bob Gale to pen the adaptation! If that wasn’t enough Alan Silvestri who composed those iconic scores for the three movies (as well as the likes of Forrest Gump and Cast Away) will co-author the music and lyrics for the show with the man behind the stage adaptation of Ghost and the co-writer and Producer of Alanis Morissette’s “Jagged Little Pill”, Glen Ballard.

Jamie Lloyd will Direct the show.

Nigel Planer, your next musical gig as Doc Brown just came in!

Big question is, will Huey Lewis and the News allow them the iconic “Power of Love” and “Back in Time” to be included? Time will tell. But surely they HAVE to?

The film itself isn’t without some iconic musical pieces, apart from that beautiful score and afore-mentioned Power tune, we of course get the lovely mix of 1950′s nostalgia with the likes of Mr. Sandman and Earth Angel, before Michael J takes his guitar and does this…

I guess you guys aren’t ready for this, yet… But yer kids are gonna love it!
